HOW FUNDS ARE USED
A more equitable and effective education system will benefit all the residents of Forsyth County. The Action4Equity coalition was formed in 2018 to create long-lasting changes in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools to provide opportunity to every student, regardless of where they live in the County or which school they attend.
Your financial support in these early months will help shape and strengthen our grassroots efforts. Donations will be used to cover the costs of establishing our organization and launching our work in the community, including:
Organizing Parents - create flyers, host meetings, provide childcare during meetings, print materials, etc.
Training Advocates - host events to help parents and community members to become more effective advocates for children, organize protest activities, support coalition meetings, etc.
Printing, web-hosting, filing fees and other start-up costs associated with forming a new nonprofit organization
Action4Equity is currently all-volunteer, however, there are plans to hire staff when the funds are available to increase our capacity and impact. Your donation today will make you a founding partner in our initiative and will allow us to get right to work deconstructing the barriers that stand between our most vulnerable children and a quality education.
